Congratulations to Henry Bessel and Madeleine Mallis for the following fantastic results again last season:

Henry Bessell, stepping up an age group, again achieved outstanding results in international competition a 3rd in halfpipe at the New Zealand Junior Nationals. Henry also competed in:

• the Australian Junior Series,
• all of the Thredbo freeride events;
• and even open men's level for the Boost SnoSho.

By the way we should also give a plug to Henry's new sponsors [after all that is the point of sponsorship] - Oakley (goggles), Gnu (snowboards), Sandbox (helmets), I Ride Sideways (street clothing) and Adrenalin Plus Boardstore.

Once again Madeleine Mallis, the daughter of a very proud Board member and "Mr Maintenance" - Tony Mallis - did us proud with outstanding results across the 2009 Season and culminating in SECOND place in the National Junior Championships for SkierX at Mt Hotham. Madeleine's results for the 2009 season included:

• 2nd GS Sydney Region of the State InterSchools Competition,
• 2nd Skier-X Sydney Region,
• 8th GS in the State Finals,
• 3 times Bronze Medallist Slalom - State Junior Championships (Thredbo Cup and Blue Cow Cup (twice)),
• Silver Medallist Skier-Cross National Junior Championships
